Education and Experience

Robert Penaloza is a senior investment manager on the Asian equities team. Robert joined Aberdeen in 1997 as an investment manager on the Asia ex-Japan equity desk in Singapore, gaining wide experience of the region, cross covering on company and country visits, and helping to hone the company’s distinctive ‘bottom-up’ investment style. Previously, Robert worked for the Northern Territory Treasury Corporation initially as a settlements officer.

Robert graduated with a BA in Business Management (banking and finance) from the Charles Darwin University, Australia. Robert is a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD) and a Fellow of the Thai Institute of Company Directors. Robert also holds a certificate in the General Management Program from Harvard Business School.
