Aberdeen Asset Managers Growth Capital appoints Ned Dorbin

Aberdeen Asset Managers Growth Capital ('Aberdeen' or 'AAMGC') today announces the appointment of Ned Dorbin as a Senior Investment Manager to the South East team.

Ned will focus on new investment opportunities involving smaller UK companies requiring up to £4 million of equity finance, including MBOs/MBIs, expansion capital, replacement capital and acquisition finance. Aberdeen's growing South East team also includes Neil MacFadyen, Stella Panu, Atul Devani, Andrew Symmonds and Kimberley Martin, who are all based in the London office.

Ned previously worked for BDO Stoy Hayward ('BDO') in London where he was an Assistant Director in their Private Equity Advisory team. After qualifying as an ACA, Ned moved into BDO's corporate finance division at the start of 2002 and spent the last four and a half years of his time there working solely on lead advisory transactions. Deals Ned worked on at BDO in the last 12 months include Paragon UK, an MBO of a specialist care provider backed by ISIS, BigHand, an MBO of a digital dictation software business backed by LDC, and Choices, a BIMBO backed by Granville Baird Capital Partners.

Ned Dorbin, Senior Investment Manager, Aberdeen Asset Managers Growth Capital, said:

"I am very excited to be joining Aberdeen at a time when they are clearly focused on building on their successful track record in the South East. I'm looking forward to being part of this growth and to working with the team and local advisors on new investment opportunities."

Neil MacFadyen, Investment Director, Aberdeen Asset Managers Growth Capital, said:

"I am very pleased to announce the appointment of Ned Dorbin to our expanding South East team. We are committed to growing our business in the South East of England and it is great to have someone with Ned's experience on board."
