Appointment - Ed Coombs

Aberdeen Asset Managers Private Equity Division has appointed Ed Coombs as Investment Director in their Growth Capital team and will be based in their London office.

Ed joins Aberdeen from corporate finance boutique Village Capital where he spent over 4 years specialising in advisory and fund raisings in the venture capital sector. Prior to this Ed worked at Williams De Broë as an emerging markets equity analyst before moving on the Daiwa Sumitomo as an equity analyst in the Global Telecoms Team and Oil and Gas Teams covering emerging market IPOs and the secondary market. Ed graduated with an MA (Hons) Management degree from the University of St Andrews in 1995, which included a period studying at Uppsala University, Sweden.

Appointment - Guido Biocchi

Aberdeen Asset Managers Private Equity Division has appointed Guido Biocchi as Senior Portfolio Manager in their Portfolio team and will be based in their Glasgow office.

Guido joined Aberdeen from The Royal Bank of Scotland where he spent 4 years in the Corporate & Structured Finance team in Glasgow and Edinburgh workings on a number of corporate acquisitions and leveraged buy-outs between £5m and £50m. Prior to this Guido started his career in 1997 with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Aberdeen and Edinburgh where he qualified as a chartered accountant gaining experience in audit, tax and corporate finance across a number of industries including oil & gas, engineering, manufacturing, financial services and leisure.

Appointment - Ella-Kara Brown

Aberdeen Asset Managers Private Equity Division has appointed Ella-Kara Brown as Investment Assistant in their Growth Capital team and will be based in their Glasgow office.

Ella-Kara joins Aberdeen from Adam Smith where she was involved in various fundraisings ranging from £0.5m to £18m. Ella-Kara is a graduate with a first class honors degree in Financial Services.
