Announcement from Aberdeen Asset Managers

Aberdeen Asset Management’s senior Private Equity team has led a management buyout from its publicly listed parent, to form an independent private equity business, Maven Capital Partners UK LLP.

The entire investment and portfolio team is migrating across to Maven, as well as the full back-office administration function. Maven will manage approximately Ł160 million of capital that the team previously managed at Aberdeen, and the investment strategy will continue to focus on private company transactions and managing Venture Capital Trusts (VCTs).

Aberdeen will remain a valued partner with a significant minority stake in the new business.
