Planning for Retirement

The idea of planning for your retirement can be daunting – especially if retirement itself is still a long way off.  It's something that is all too easy to put off until another time.  But you should remember that you might end up living a third of your life in retirement.  The savings you accumulate throughout your working life may need to last you another 20 or 30 years after you finish work.  So, whatever your age, it's important to start thinking about your own retirement goals and make a plan for achieving them.

In this part of the website we look at the detail of Defined Contribution Schemes and Additional Voluntary Contributions, and we provide some pointers to the basics of retirement planning.

The information contained here is generic in nature. For investment advice specific to your needs we strongly recommend you seek independent professional advice.
