When you apply you will receive an automated response confirming receipt of your application advising that if you are applying for a particular position you will hear from us in due course.
We aim to hold the interviews in December/January. As we normally receive a high volume of applicants we ask that you wait until we have made contact with you to confirm you have been selected for interview.
We would anticipate a start date during September.
The whole process typically begins with an advertising campaign in October.All open positions are posted on our vacancies page with closing dates. Our aim is to screen the applications and reduce to a shortlist for selection to interview from December/January. The anticipated start date for Graduates is September.
The company will reimburse appropriate travel expenses based upon 2nd class rail fare, underground travel fare and bus fares. Reimbursement will only be awarded on production of suitable receipts. Outwith the above, travel arrangements must be agreed in advance with the Human Resources Department.
Where appropriate suitable accommodation will be provided for you by the company.
You may be asked to perform a basic competency test to demonstrate your knowledge of a specific area. You may also have to undergo a Psychometric test.

We do not give specific feedback on initial applications, however if you are selected for interview you will receive feedback on your performance.
You would not be able to defer your start date but you would be welcome to re-apply for the next intake.
There may be an opportuntity to have a placement in one of our overseas location, however this will be based on business need.
All Graduates will be assigned a mentor during their first 12 months at Aberdeen Asset Management.
