Edinburgh Rugby Club

In August 2008 Aberdeen Asset Management agreed a two-year sponsorship agreement with Edinburgh Rugby Club.

The sponsorship agreement saw Aberdeen become the new shirt sponsor of the first team.

At the close of the 2008/09 season Edinburgh recorded their highest ever position, finishing 2^nd in the Magners League and winning eight out of their nine home league games. The 2009/10 season sees former assistant coach Rob Moffat step up to the position of Head coach at Murrayfield."

Edinburgh Rugby is one of two professional rugby union teams in Scotland competing in the ‘Magners Celtic League’ along with Glasgow Warriors, their oldest rivals.

Edinburgh currently play their home games at Murrayfield Stadium, recently renamed ‘The Castle’. Edinburgh finished 4th in the Magners League last season, their highest finish in recent years. Andy Robinson is head Coach with Scottish Rugby legend Gavin Hastings taking up the role of Chairman.
