“We are honoured to be associated with this long-established event and are delighted to play our part in ensuring that it remains in our own U.S hometown of Philadelphia”
The Dad Vail Corporate Challenge, hosted by Team Concepts, is a chance for Corporations in the greater Philadelphia region to become part of and compete in, the largest US collegiate regatta of the Year.
The 2012 Corporate Challenge will be held mid-day on May 12th. Divided up into four categories, based on the crews’ level of experience and fitness, each corporation who enters will be competing in a 500 meter race with other corporations throughout Philadelphia. Each team will be competing in eight-person boats with at least three from each gender in each boat. There is even more incentive to take part in this year's Corporate Challenge as Aberdeen has pledged to donate $5,000 to a charity chosen by the winning corporate crew team!

In 2010, Aberdeen signed a four-year agreement with the Regatta Organizing Committee which sees them be title sponsor of the Dad Vail Regatta until 2013, the event’s 75th Anniversary. Aberdeen’s support has helped to ensure that this prestigious Regatta remains in the heart of Philadelphia. May 14th and 15th 2011 marked the second annual Aberdeen Dad Vail regatta where thousands of rowers from across the country embarked upon Philadelphia and the Schuylkill River to compete in the largest intercollegiate rowing race in North America.
In 2011, we were pleased to introduce Aberdeen’s sponsorship of a new addition to the regatta event, the Philadelphia Challenge Gold Cup. The top single scullers from around the world, including, four of the top men and women single scullers in the world along with other world-class Olympic rowers, were featured in the event.
The 2012 Aberdeen Dad Vail Regatta will be held on the 11th and 12th of May. The Aberdeen Dad Vail Regatta is the largest collegiate regatta in the United States, with over 100 colleges and universities from the U.S. and Canada. Thousands of student athletes gather to compete during the weekend of the second Saturday of May.
