Scottish Ladies Golfing Association
Aberdeen Asset Management further demonstrates its support for golf in Scotland by sponsoring the Scottish Ladies Golf Association. The agreement with the SLGA sees Scotland’s Ladies team wear the Aberdeen Asset Management logo on their clothing when they play in competitions all over the world.
Martin Gilbert, Chief Executive of Aberdeen Asset Management said:
“We are very proud to align our brand to that of the SLGA’s. We currently sponsor the Men’s squad and therefore our partnership with the Scottish Ladies Team made perfect sense.”
The SLGA team had a fantastic 2010, winning the European Senior Women’s Golf Team Championship and beating England 3-2 in the final at the Sporting Club, Berlin, Germany. The team also won the Women’s Home Internationals at Whitechurch, Cardiff, in September 2010, which was Scotland’s first victory in the competition between Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales, in 19 years.
